Try explaining wireless internet to a person from 1950.

Now try explaining World of Warcraft to a person from 1900.  It’s pretty hard.

Today was our final day, and what a way to end it.  We decided to go to Millenium Park again, all 8 of us (Tony Santiago joined us) and do Plateau work.  If you’re not familiar, it involves a bunch of people running around in a box throwing sticks at each other.  We found this great little grassy rectangle, and stripped down to our blacks.  We had people cheer us on, and stop and watch.  Such fun.  It went on for a lot longer than any of us expected it to, but no one felt it went on too long.

We got lunch at this Taco place that was great.  We had bought tickets for this Show at RedMoon theatre called Winter Pageant Redux.  It was incredible.  It was a spectacle show, with bizarre contraptions, shadow and regular puppetry, clowning, etc.  It was by far the best thing I’ve seen in a long long time, if not ever.  Just ask me about it in person.  Mike Sater and I were talking and said that it was exactly what we wanted to do with ourselves.

Even though the girl that I had the tea party with at the beginning of the show (yeah) had offered to take us for a tour of the facilities, we had to jet in order to check the next show we wanted to see: Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.  Unfortunately, even though we showed up half an hour early, there was alreay a line around the block.  Oh well.  We went home and watched some Arrested Development and Planet Earth.

What a great trip.  Today, Jan 3, we’re driving again.  Perhaps we’ll post about the trip, but probably not.  Not enough batteries.
